Almost fall

Couple more days and summer's over. Than the blistering heat of the desert just becomes the heat of the desert.

We've been seeing an increase of humming birds. Must be passing thru on the way to Mexico. Seen a few Monarchs also. My wife has planted a lot of flowers in the yard so the little critters have plenty to munch on.

Riley the dog howls with the sirens. Not really well though. I think I'll get one of those nature cd's of wolves howling so he can go into training. Teach the dog a respectable howl. We're talking about a 70 pound Shepard/wolf/ and something else dog. When my wife walks him it is more like he walks her. Last couple days we've clipped him to my chair and I've walked him. 70 pound dog has no chance against a 300 pound wheelchair and 200 pound person. He goes where I go.

Hopefully a few weeks of this and he'll stop draggingmy wife.
