I had a cell phone for years. Way back in the 80's when they were really big and heavy. We use to call them bricks back than. Than from about 2004 - 2006 we went without cell phones. Got some pretty strange looks those 2 years. Than we went back to cell phones with a vengeance I must say. We now have 3 cell phones. One for me, another for my wife and my daughter has the 3rd. Under the desk is a pay to use phone for our Grandson when we go on trips. We've dumped our land line completely.
Back than the big thing was how at some point everyone would be using cell phones. No need for land lines. Well 20 years later and it looks like the predictions are coming true. Its fun to watch things actually happen.
That was boring. I started this back on 1-29 but kept getting interrupted by friends and family. You know how hard it is to think when IM's pop up on your screen? Seemed like every other sentence I'd get "hey, how do you do.........." or something. So now I keep the IM thingy off till I'm ready to talk.
Big Super Bowl weekend. I don't even know who is playing or worse who is doing half time! I don't do sports. Way back in my dark distant pass I remember being sent off to some summer camp type thing for disabled kids. Bunch of us broken kids running crawling drooling away having fun. Actually the only thing I really remember about that was Boxing. Seems that someone had this idea that if they pick up the gimp, carry him/her toward the other gimp being carried than they could slug it out. How stupid can you get? Shoot let me go I'll pull off the stupid artificial limbs and rip the other kids head off. Who needs to be carried?
As a kid I was very strong. One arm did it all. My mother was hitting me with a coat hanger one time ( like that really hurt ) so I took it away from her. Another time we were wrestling with my father when I rapped my arm around both of his lower legs, lifted him off the ground than simply fell over. Goliath was down!!! I bet that thin carpet was not a very soft landing. Like I said I was strong.
Later in life my daughter used my arm as a "jungle gym" She would run full steam into my arm and do cartwheels while holding on. This would go on for hours it would seem like.
Of course, today many battles and cartwheels later, it hurts just to pick up my arm. Oh well, even Hercules fell at some point............
