One of the advantages of being poor on a fixed income is there are always things you want. Heck my list grows daily :) This morning I saw a 71 MG. Now I've wanted to fix up an MG since way back when. Heck I remember when you bought them new. Its just one of those things you carry around inside that you just sorta know that maybe, some day it will happen, But alas, it was not today. :(

I had a good friend in high school who committed suicide by MG. Ran under a semi trailer. Lost his head. Can't understand what he was thinking. Actually except for all the blood the car wasn't in that bad of shape after the accident. My sister in law had a Triumph for a while but it suffered from severe bad wiring.

The other side of the poor equation is you learn quickly to not be disappointed when your list grows. Plus, because my finances are probably not going to change much, I still believe a little in Santa. Plus I put a lot of belief in people.

Hey did you see the "Great Decider" now has his own "Veto Pen"? Wow, I guess he needed something new to play with since he shit all over the sandbox and made a real mess there.

The Wish Book arrived the other day. Little thinner than the old Sears Christmas catalogs we got when we were kids. Still my grandson enjoyed going through pointing out everything he wanted for Christmas. Shopping for him isn't that hard. Just sweep the boys isle into the cart. Actually, he's fixated on the Optimus Prime transformer for $40. I'm thinking his " things I want " list is going to grow a bit longer this year. Don't get me wrong here. This kid is not short in the toy department. In fact he probably has more toys than most kids. I think in my attempt not to allow him disappointment, and keep his list short I may have over done it. But most of his goodies came from the flea market so everything was like 10 cents on the dollar type stuff.

The old laptop still giving me grief. Some days it just doesn't fire up at all. In the mean time, it is hit or miss with the blog thing here.

The fish are liking the air line a lot! Hopefully I've hit on the right combination to keep them alive. Riley the dog and I have been going out early evening and running ( well he runs I roll ) about a mile to give him a bit of a work out. Its good for him. we found we can attach him to the back of my chair and run without him getting ran over by the chair. I can't go nearly as fast as he can run but we get going pretty well.

My fund raising for the all terrain wheelchair has not done very well. Out of the $10,000 for the chair and $1000 for shipping I have raised a total of $0. After a year I've given up on the church and all their promises.

I guess it will remain on my list a bit longer.............................
