I fixed my first PSP today. I always enjoy new challenges. Normally I would of passed on it. Belongs to a 7 year old who's 3 year old brother decided to sink it in the toilet. I've watched the 7 year old run around with this thing playing in the back yard. On at least 2 occasions it was dropped.

I'm not a firm believer in parents giving young children expensive toys unsupervised. My feeling is if you give a small child an expensive toy and do not supervise it, than you can afford to replace it when little brother dumps it in the toilet. But in this case I felt sorry for them and offered to fix it. These folks have been going through a hard time adjusting from good paying jobs in Denver to the cheap paying jobs here. Had it been Denver, I would of said sorry, buy the kid a new one.

Besides, I wanted to see whats in one. :)

Its turned hot. Triple digit temps multiple days in a row and they are talking 105 by weekend. Been keeping the house around 80 to keep the electric bill under control. I wait till it hits 82 in the house than turn on the air. Use to be we didn't hit 82 till 3-4 in the afternoon, but lately by noon its 82 inside already.

There has been no decisions on the surgery. Basically the channel that the spinal chord runs through is narrowed in my neck. There is a large risk for the possibility of becoming paralyzed from the neck down if not corrected. The Doctor proposes removing 3-4 vertebra by going through the front and rear of my neck. Once removed, he'll enlarge the channel. Than replace the vertebra holding everything together and in place with front and rear plates, rods, and screws. The risk are I still could end up paralyzed, or even dead. Benefits are pretty obvious. I would lose some range of motion mainly up/down. But my side to side may actually be better. Anyways, I'm still tossing it around.

I do know that every time I bump my head now my kidneys start hurting. Plus, now if I move my head to fast, I get these nice little headaches.

Wish I had better faith in Doctors, or for that matter humanity as a whole..........
