Some people probably think its cruel but Kitty the original Betta is still alive after weeks of laying on its side. Remember I was saying we didn't think it was going to last? Well, its still here. Every time we think its funeral at sea time the fish perks up. We have done everything I could research out to help this fish, and it just refuses to die. Now we've been dropping 2-3 betta food pellets into the bowl ( we separated it from the others ) it never eats them. They end up sinking to the bottom where we suck them out before the next feeding. This is very strange.

On the other side of the coin we annihilated a decent sized wasp nest and its contents this morning. We waited till morning knowing the wasp would be less likely to be flying in the colder air. There are wasp bodies all over the sidewalk. Looks like one of Mr. Bush's raids. Hopefully unlike Mr. Bush the mission has been accomplished.

Anybody not watching the stock market? I love the comments. " The economy is fine, just a little bumpy " I wonder if that is what the pilot said to the passengers right before the plane crashed? In the long run things will return to normal. McCain lost the election last night with the 2nd debate. He said he would order the Treasury Department to buy up all those bad mortgages than rewrite them so the people would not loose their homes. Seems to me there are at least 2 flaws in that idea. 1: Didn't we buy up all those bad mortgages with that $700 billion bailout? If not, what was that buying than? Flaw 2: Everyone knows the US Government and those who have worked themselves up to the top don't do anything "for the people". McCain just wasn't being realistic. Perhaps his age got the better of him.

So I predict that come November history will be made and we will have the first African American for President.

And I thought Mr. Bush's arrogance made him dangerous.............
