Well we did the 4th thing. Commodores in the park than big fireworks after the show. All put on for free by the city. On the 3rd was the annual electric parade. Always a fun one to watch. Being an election year, the parade started off with several car loads of would be politicians and entourage of starred eyed believers chanting vote Democrat or vote Republican. I found it to be a disgusting spectacle to watch as the country sinks into the proverbial toilet. No one was chanting vote for America. I think all these political parties have lost sight of the real thing, We the People.

I've found out the advantage of being poor. When the depression comes we'll already be use to having less. Unfortunately, I can not help but wonder what will happen to all those who bought the lies of their elected officials. Anyone wonder where that trillion dollars going to come from to rescue Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Way back when we faced foreclosure we were told over and over by elected officials that there was nothing they could do to help us. From the White House on down. To think, all we were asking was to refinance at the lower rates offered at the time and we would of been able to continue making payments.

Well been sticking my fingers twice a day now for over a week. All I've got to show for it is sore fingers. :( I did learn that both my grandfathers had diabetes, so I'd guess the odds were with me as far as having it myself.

Still looking for hand controls for the van. New is way out of reach plus installation. Way back I use to install my own. Not thinking I am up to it now a days. I guess I could be thinking at $4 per gallon, I'm saving lots of money.
